To commemorate the XXth anniversary of Etienne Decroux's death, Moveo Teatro presents ARA!, a show about the interaction between his legacy and contemporary creation.Taking the legacy of Etienne Decroux as a starting point, and bearing in mind the idea that these days hope lies in reinventing the way we relate to "the Other" (other sex, other religion, other person, other desire, etc.), the company has plunged into a creation process that combines the classical and modern body mime repertoire with a mix of loyalty and betrayal, and the subject of “the Other” as a parallel world, unattainable and without which we would be incapable of living. A tragicomical representation of our constant comings and goings between solitude and altruism, of the impossibility of denying “the Other” that coexists with their permanent denial in our behaviour.
