History
In October, Reus becomes a showcase for international physical Theatre.
For one week every autumn since 1988, the theatres and other stage areas of Reus have hosted COS, the Reus international Festival of Movement and gestural theatre. Mime, gestural theatre, masked theatre, dance, puppets and performance theatre... COS is a showcase for all the new trends in catalan and international physical theatre, with shows to delight all the public.
The Festival has becomes an obligatory port of call for companies of international renown, as well as a platform for young mime and gestural theatre companies from Catalonia and the rest of the world.
Since its earliest days, COS has been closely linked with the most prestigious training centres for physical and gestural theatre in Europe.
CAER, the Reus centre for performing Arts, organises this festival and includes an area of production specialising in physical theatre.
